Step 1: Visit typingtestgo.com

1. Guest Mode: Click "Continue as Guest" on the main page

2. Quick Mode: Visit Quick Mode for completely distraction-free practice with no login, no tracking, no leaderboards - just pure typing.

Phase 1: Home Row Mastery

Start with Lesson 1 and focus exclusively on accuracy. Don't worry about WPM yet. Your goal is to build the muscle memory of where your fingers rest.

Phase 2: Color Progression

• If your lesson dot is 🔴, stay on that row and practice slowly.
• Once it turns 🟡, you can move to the next row but should revisit this one occasionally.
• When it turns 🟢, you have mastered those keys and are ready for the next level.

Our interactive keyboard provides real-time guidance:

• Key Highlighting: The next key you need to press glows in its assigned finger color.
• Finger Guidance: The hand visualization highlights the exact finger you should use.
• Shift Assistant: For capital letters or symbols, the system highlights the opposite Shift key and pinky finger automatically.

Simply stay signed in with your Google Account. As you finish each exercise, your highest accuracy for that row is instantly uploaded and saved. You can see your best scores reflected in the colored dots at the bottom of the Course screen.

Earn coins through:

• Completing tests: Get coins based on your WPM and accuracy
• Daily rewards: Claim once per day
• Daily tasks: Complete 3 tasks daily for bonus coins
• Achievements: Unlock badges to earn coin bonuses

Higher WPM and accuracy = more coins per test!

The leaderboard ranks players by their best WPM score for each test duration.

Viewing options:

• All-time rankings
• Weekly rankings (resets every Monday)
• Daily rankings (resets at midnight)

Filters: View leaderboards for specific test durations (1 min, 3 min, 5 min, etc.)

Note: Only Google-logged-in users appear on leaderboards

Yes! TypingTestGo is a Progressive Web App (PWA).

On Desktop (Chrome):

• Look for the install icon in the address bar
• Or: Menu → Install TypingTestGo

On Mobile:

• Android Chrome: Menu → Add to Home Screen
• iOS Safari: Share → Add to Home Screen

Step 1: Sign in with Google (profile pictures only available for logged-in users)

Step 2: Click on your profile icon in the top-right corner

Step 3: Go to Profile section

Step 4: Click "Change Avatar" and choose from available options

Note: Profile pictures are synced from your Google account by default. Custom avatars can be purchased from the shop.

To change bio:

1. Click your profile icon → Profile
2. Click "Edit Bio"
3. Type your new bio (max 150 characters)
4. Click "Save"

Username: Your username is pulled from your Google account and cannot be changed directly. To change it, update your Google account name.

Click the sun/moon icon in the top-right corner to toggle between light and dark themes. Your preference is saved automatically.

Premium themes: Visit the Shop to purchase additional theme options with coins.

Requirements:

• Must be signed in with Google (Guest mode users don't appear)
• Must complete at least one typing test
• Test duration must be at least 1 minute
• No suspicious or bot-like activity detected

Once you meet these requirements, your best score automatically appears on the leaderboard for that test duration.

All-time: Never resets - permanent rankings

Weekly: Resets every Monday at 00:00 UTC

Daily: Resets every day at 00:00 UTC (midnight)

Your scores are preserved in your profile even after resets, so you can always track your personal progress.

Common reasons:

• Using Guest mode (switch to Google login)
• Test duration less than 1 minute
• Score hasn't updated yet (refresh the page)
• Your score isn't in the top rankings for that duration
• Possible detection of unusual activity

Daily claims are free coin bonuses you can collect once every 24 hours.

How to claim:

1. Click the "Daily Reward" button on your dashboard
2. Claim your coins (amount increases with consecutive days)
3. Come back the next day for a larger bonus!

Streak bonus: Claim daily for 7 consecutive days to get a mega bonus!

Note: Daily claims require Google login.

Use coins to purchase:

• Themes: Custom color schemes and visual styles
• Avatars: Profile pictures and frames
• Effects: Typing animations and cursor effects
• Badges: Display special badges on your profile
• Boosts: Temporary coin multipliers

All items are cosmetic - they don't affect your typing speed or test results!

• Clear browser cache and reload

Yes, the site works on mobile, but we recommend using a physical keyboard on desktop/laptop for proper typing practice.

Mobile touchscreen typing is very different from keyboard typing and won't prepare you for actual typing tests.

You earn coins by:

• Completing tests - Earn coins based on your WPM and accuracy
• Daily tasks - Complete daily challenges for bonus coins
• Achievements - Unlock achievements to earn coin rewards
• Level ups - Gain XP and level up to earn coin bonuses
• Leaderboard rankings - Top performers earn extra rewards

Achievements are special milestones you unlock by completing specific goals. Each achievement grants you:

• XP boost - Extra experience points toward leveling up
• Coin rewards - Bonus coins to spend in the Shop
• Profile badges - Display your accomplishments

View your achievement progress in Dashboard → Achievements.

Achievement Categories:

• Speed Milestones - Reach 30, 50, 75, 100+ WPM
• Accuracy Masters - Maintain 95%, 98%, 100% accuracy
• Consistency - Complete daily streaks (7, 30, 100 days)
• Test Completion - Complete 10, 50, 100, 500+ tests
• Special Challenges - Government exam simulations, long-duration tests
• Course Completion - Finish all 13 typing lessons

The typing heatmap shows a visual representation of your key accuracy:

• Green keys - High accuracy, well-practiced
• Yellow keys - Medium accuracy, needs practice
• Red keys - Low accuracy, focus on these keys

Use the heatmap to identify weak spots and target your practice effectively. Available in Dashboard → Advanced Mode → Results.

Consistency: Measures how stable your typing speed is throughout the test. Higher consistency (closer to 100%) means you maintain a steady rhythm without speed fluctuations.

Latency: Average time delay between keystrokes. Lower latency indicates faster reaction times and smoother typing flow.

Both metrics help professional typists and data entry specialists optimize their performance.

After completing a test in Advanced Mode (Dashboard), scroll down to see detailed statistics:

• Most Missed Keys - Keys you frequently make mistakes on
• Error Patterns - Common typing mistakes (substitutions, omissions)
• WPM Graph - Line chart showing speed variations over time
• Character Accuracy - Per-character breakdown

Your rank is based on your highest WPM recorded in any completed test. The leaderboard updates in real-time.

Ranking factors:

• Primary: Highest WPM achieved
• Tiebreaker: Accuracy percentage
• Must have minimum 85% accuracy to qualify

View rankings by period: All-Time, Weekly, or Daily.

The 'Your Rank' button on the leaderboard automatically scrolls to your position, showing:

• Your current rank number
• Users directly above and below you
• How close you are to the next rank milestone

You must be logged in to see your rank highlighted.

Your rank changes when:

• Other users achieve higher WPM scores
• You complete a new test with better performance
• Weekly/Daily rankings reset (weekly resets every Monday, daily at midnight UTC)

All-Time rankings never reset - they're your permanent record!

Email addresses are linked to your Google account. To change your email:

1. Sign out of TypingTestGo
2. Sign in with a different Google account

Note: Progress is tied to your Google account email. Changing accounts will create a separate profile.

To delete your account and all associated data:

1. Go to Dashboard → Settings
2. Scroll to Account section
3. Click Delete Account
4. Confirm deletion

Warning: This permanently deletes all your progress, achievements, purchases, and statistics. This action cannot be undone.

Yes! To export your typing data:

1. Go to Dashboard → Settings
2. Find Data Export section
3. Click Export Data

You'll receive a JSON file containing:

• All test results and statistics
• Achievement progress
• XP, level, and coins
• Shop purchases
